Workshop time is 8:30 - 3:30 PM

Description: As we prepare students for college and career, knowledge of the world is invaluable. Teaching for global competence occurs in the selection of curriculum content and instructional planning that enables students to meet national or local learning standards while at the same time providing students the chance to frame, analyze, communicate and respond to issues of global significance. This workshop will provide the learner the opportunity to gain deeper understanding of global awareness connections to the North Carolina Educator Evaluation System, the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and strategies for embedding global education opportunities for students in their classrooms.
